    1. Hi Dividend are Coming,
I am sure you will, you're already building a nice portfolio for yourself and you've only been at it for a short time. It is amazing at how quick it starts to grow once you put your focus on it.

Interesting how you mention that you stopped investing for a while when the financial crisis happened. At the time I was quite oblivious of the financial world and sometimes I wonder how I would have reacted. I like to think I would be a buyer - and maybe that would be the case now. But when you are just starting having your money drop 50% must be tough.

In any case, this past year there were some drops in the energy sector and the overal market was flat, which is quite good for us as we are in the accumulation phase.

      Have a great 2016!

    2. At the time I was in a different position, I was saving up money for a house and I lacked some key insights about the stock market. My memory is a bit hazy as this is around eight years ago, but I did buy some stocks during the collapse, only to see them drop even further.

Back then my portfolio wasn't really diversified and I didn't have clear goals. I think dividend investing really helps me to focus more on quality, and also helps to remove market noise by putting the focus on the cash generated by the portfolio.
